IRMO was originally founded under the name Chile Democratico
in 1985 by Chilean exiles. In response to changes in the make-up of London’s
Latin American community, we adapted and changed our name to Indoamerican
Refugee and Migrant Organisation in 1998. As a registered charity
and limited company, IRMO is run by a Management Committee of nine Latin
American refugees and migrants.
