Parents can access one to one advice, practical support and workshops on school admissions as well as access to healthcare, welfare and other basic needs.

Take a look at our Welcome Guide for Families in Spanish.

For children aged 5-12 that have recently arrived in the UK, and are currently out of mainstream education, we provide weekly English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes, bi-lingual homework support and 1:1 e-mentoring.

We develop activities and classes around the National Curriculum to complement the work children will be doing at school. We also tailor activities to the children’s individual needs and abilities.

We understand that language barriers can make it difficult for both schools and parents to communicate with each other, so we try to help parents establish good communication channels with their child’s school early on. We are sometimes able to provide interpreting support at parent/teacher meetings to facilitate communication when problems arise.

We work with the family as a whole. Monthly cultural trips like museums and theatre performances give families the opportunity to spend time together and engage with their local community.

“We are more united as a family. My daughter can’t sleep the night before a trip because she is so excited for it to be time to go.”

– Mother of Laura, 10, from Colombia
