Housing and Social Welfare

In 2019/20, 486 families received one to one advice on housing, tax and welfare

We support our community to gain access to housing and improve their living conditions. We do this by assisting users with issues regarding possession, harassment, illegal eviction, rent arrears and how to make homeless applications.

We also provide advice on taxes and welfare benefits as well as sign-post users to other useful services and organisations. Our trained advisors provide a professional and confidential service, supporting individuals through the application process and appeal process when needed.

Are you a trained welfare advisor, or interested in becoming one? We are always looking for advisers, assistants/trainees as well as interpreters (Spanish/Portuguese – English) to help at our busy drop-in sessions. Please get in touch if you are interested in volunteering.
