Building on our long-standing commitment as a community-led organisation, IRMO has launched a new Community Panel to further strengthen how community voices shape our work.
The panel brings together 10 members of our community, selected through an open and inclusive process, reflecting a wide range of experiences, backgrounds and identities. Over the next year, panel members will be compensated to meet regularly and work closely with IRMO.
Together, they will help identify key priorities for the Latin American community, advise on how our work can respond to these, and provide ongoing feedback on our services, programmes and advocacy. The panel will also create opportunities for members to engage in training and develop skills in areas they are interested in.
In shaping the panel, we have aimed to bring together a group that reflects the diversity and complexity of the communities we work with, including the different challenges and realities people face.
Creating structured spaces for community input is a continuation of IRMO’s approach — ensuring that the people most affected by the issues we work on are at the centre of shaping solutions. These spaces are essential not only for accountability, but for building more effective, grounded and responsive work.
We are very much looking forward to working alongside the panel over the coming year and continuing to strengthen our community-led approach.
