Lambeth residents who are unemployed or underemployed and between 16 and 30 years old are eligible for employment support, which increases their chances of gaining a properly paid job in London. This is possible through the BounceBack programme developed with the Walcot Foundation in partnership with IRMO (Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organisation).

Project participants receive mentoring in Portuguese, Spanish and English once a week, with support for improving their CVs, writing personal statements, and preparing for interviews, among other topics. Interested parties can apply by scanning the QR code on the information material below or online using the self-referral form.

Eligible participants who gain a job or internship while receiving employment support from IRMO can receive the Job Transition Grant (JTG), which is a payment of £500 that will be divided into two instalments: the first paid when the participant receives a suitable job offer (more than 12 hours a week) and the second after three months of employment.

What is the Bounce Back Programme?

Currently, we are delivering the Bounce Back Programme by Walcot Foundation which aims to help low-income Lambeth residents between 16 and 30 years old gain properly paid employment. IRMO supports unemployed and underemployed young people into sustainable jobs through a mentoring scheme and by connecting participants with job opportunities and training that are relevant to their personal and professional development.

Walcot Foundation Job Transition Grant

The Job Transition Grant (JTG) is a £500 payment to eligible participants who get a job or apprenticeship whilst receiving IRMO’s employment support. The JTG is broken down into 2 equal instalments of £250, the first paid once a participant receives a suitable job offer (more than 12 hours a week) and the second after 3 months of sustained employment. IRMO assists participants in applying for the Walcot’s JTG.
