The Community Support Worker will play a key role in our community support team and service provision.  Leading a team of volunteers, they will manage community enquiries through our helpline, digital channels, and in person at our Welcome Area, ensuring that IRMO remains a warm and accessible space for all. 

This post is designated for a Portuguese speaker, in order to strengthen engagement and inclusion of Brazilians and other Portuguese-speaking migrant communities.

IRMO is seeking an experienced communications consultant to carry out a focused audit and co-develop a clear, practical and values-led communications strategy, alongside a digital and social media framework that strengthens our voice and consistency across audiences. 

We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of the UK charity sector and experience in advocacy, risk and crisis communications, and community-centred storytelling, ideally within migration, human rights or related fields. A key part of the role will be building IRMO’s internal capacity, so that high-quality, consistent communications can be sustained after the consultancy ends.

The Community Support team acts as the main point of contact for the Latin American​ community and IRMO, where we identify their needs and enquiries, triage the support and​ services to be allocated and share relevant information. The Welcome Area plays a key role​ in the daily operations of the organisation; offering a range of support services, which​ include interpreting, referrals and signposting, broadcast of information and events,​ amongst others.

As an Education Advice Caseworker Assistant, you will support the Family Support Worker in their work to advise families on issues relating to schooling and child wellbeing.
You will be supporting Latin American families with children aged 5-19 years old, who have
recently migrated to the UK and are not yet in school or have only just started.

The Latin American Youth Forum (LAYF) SPACE Workshop Assistant will be supporting our Youth Project Coordinator with contributing ideas for workshops and preparing sessions, promoting opportunities for young people in the workshops, creating/sharing useful resources and supporting with monitoring and evaluation. The ideal LAYF Workshop an assistant is someone who is fluent in Spanish & English or Portuguese & English; has some experience in working with children and young people, and has an idea of the challenges faced by migrant, refugee & asylum-seeking young people in the UK.

The Youth Media & Campaigns Volunteer will work closely with the Youth Project Coordinator to strengthen the voice and visibility of the Latin American Youth Forum (LAYF) SPACE. This role goes beyond publicity; it’s about helping to grow our online presence, experimenting with creative ideas, and bringing a modern, dynamic touch to the way we connect with people and partners.
