Chagas Disease Testing

Chagas disease is a parasitic infection that is common in many parts of Latin America but often goes undiagnosed here in the UK. Many people carry it for years without symptoms, yet if left untreated, it can cause heart and digestive problems over time. The good news is that a simple finger-prick point-of-care test can detect it.

At this drop-in, we offer free, confidential testing. Anyone born in Mexico, Central America, or South America, or whose mother was born there, can take a one-off test, even if you feel completely healthy. Both testing and treatment are free in the UK.

No appointment is needed; testing is on a first-come, first-served basis. Results are delivered after 20 minutes.
